In 2021, I navigated daily life accompanied by a handycam. The recordings of some of these scenes resulted in Penumbra, a series of three short videos focused on an exercise of observation and editing.

The works explore temporality during dawn or dusk, utilizing the logic of "shot / reverse shot". In pelo brilho darei um último olhar, time flows normally until a glance triggers the reversal of the video, subverting the rhythm of the sea and the swimmer. Passos features a similar rupture, marking a shift in the direction of the pedestrians on the beach. Meanwhile, Rio-Niterói organizes itself explicitly between a journey and its return.
